time flies by...

18 MONTHS OLD
tessa is 18 months old today. she has given me a run for my money since the day she could walk (which was 9 months). ever since that day this child of mine has been on the move and is determined to get anywhere her older siblings can (she must be part monkey, cause that child can climb anything). here are some little tidbits about my 18 MONTH OLD...

every morning she loves to make sure i put her crocs on her. they have become her favorite shoe to wear EVERY DAY, unless mommy decides it is too cold. she won't drink juice unless she steals it from her cousin, saylee's, sippy cup...then she will down it...go figure.

she has decided to become a mommy-in-training. she LLLLOOOOVVVEEESSSS her baby dolls!! kylee never went through this stage, so it is fun to watch.
just look at that little mommy give her baby a binkie, she even makes the sucking noises for her baby.
she loves everything about books, she even pretends she is reading them out loud to whoever will listen to her chatter. anytime i try and put the books in some sort of orderly fashion, she just pulls them all back out again and all over the front room floor.

she loves to go bye bye...for anything. i guess it means she is getting out of the house. and most of all she is a DADDY'S GIRL. when daddy's home she has no idea who mommy is. and she is now starting to try to say names, which my family could make her do over and over cause they think it is so cute. and if i yell for brenton or kylee then she has to yell for them too.

she turned TWO

saylee, my sister nicole's daughter, turned 2 on sunday. she had a rough start from the beginning...she spent (i can't remember EXACTLY how many days) like 10 days in the NICU before she could finally come home. we all love her and adore her so much and are so happy that she is two years old!!

ky was going nuts for babies even before tessa as bornand here is ky with baby saylee yet again...say's mama is in the background

this was at ky's birthday party...grandma made saylee wear the hannah montana wig. she DID NOT LIKE IT!!

this just proves that great minds think alike...say and tess in the same swimsuit

they truly do LOVE EACHOTHER
it is a rare moment to get say to smile but I DID IT!!

2 YEARS OLD...SHISHISH (saylee speak)

his long blonde locks

okay, so i know that atleast 21 of you check out my blog. RIGHT ON!! on friday night i took my children to go have their pictures done at kiddie kandids (before the BIG HAIRCUT). let me just say these three things about that night 1. kylee is pro-could become a model and love it 2. brenton is entering the i am too cool/too old/too whatever 3. tessa does not like having her picture taken. now that i have said that, i give to you the great summer haircut for brenton...

i had to get the BEFORE SHOT

this was DURING and i thought he looked funny

behold the luxurious golden thick hair

and the haircut that he chose was the fauxhawk, which ended up coming in a close second. as we were leaving to get his haircut walt was still trying to talk him into shaving it all off. what is funny is that he had originally wanted the mohawk and then ended up going with this. and those of you who know me, i love me some rebellion but a fauxhawk suits him JUST FINE. don't ya think??

ps my niece saylee turned 2 on sunday, she gets her own post tomorrow...

how do you say...

DADDY'S GIRL!!!

this is what we go through just about every time daddy leaves her behind...

am i really that bad to hang with?
Brenton and i had a discussion last night about how the voting was going for his haircut...he is not happy. what was funny was that he already knew what people were voting for. he looks at me and says,"they want me bald don't they?". how he knew this i don't know but folks let me tell you...he is not happy. he wants me to tell you that you need to change your votes (i won't tell you where he wants them moved to but he wants them moved!!!!!). this is all so funny to me. again let me say that i am going to let him pick out his own haircut, cause my husband was thinking that he gets to shave his sons head (no no no, this is not the case...i let my kids have feedom with their hair). my husband HATES IT when i take it to the edge with our kids hairstyles (that whole mohawk option). what can i say, i can't take it to the edge anywhere else (and i am a take it to the edge personality)...i am a mormon what else am i gonna do? anyways back to the point marci, i am closing the poll early...like tonight, so any last voters have to do it today!!!!! the poor boy has hair hanging in his eyes and red cheeks any time he is running out in the heat.

PS no cavities for me...i was shocked

st george, part III

on our last day, sunday, it was so wonderfully warm that we put on our bathing suits and layed out by the pool. and yes, even though not a word of it was said to my children, we got in the pool. i now have a nice tan glow about me. around 4 i told molly it was time to hit the road. so we packed up and followed eachother home, just to make sure the other wasn't harmed in any way.

this is a shot of molly and i stopping for some dinner at good ol subway, again i had to make sure we ate somewhere where there is a veggie option. we shared the veggie sandwich and it was good!!

i know that some of you are thinking what the H is this shot about?? well let me tell you, i have to go to the dentist today and i already know that i am going to hear bad news. i always hear bad news, no matter how much i brush, use special toothpaste, and floss...i ALWAYS HEAR BAD NEWS. so this picture makes me think of all of my feeling towards going to the dentist. that, and the fact that i have been watching ALIAS again (i mean i am obsessed all over again)! for those of you who have watched it you will understand. (my mom has all of the seasons on dvd)

st george, part II

first and foremost i must say this before i begin another st george story...
happy birthday BABY MOLLY, we love you and can't imagine life without you!!!

and now we begin our saturday story of life in southern utah. molly came down to the theatre room (where i was sleeping, nice and dark) and woke me up at 8:30. she was mad that she had already been up for an hour because of the sunlight in her bedroom. then, the three girls went for a run outside (this puts a lovely tan on your face) and it ended up killing us physically. we then got ready and were off to vegas.

we took a shot of us before we were leaving. in this photo is aunt dixine, uncle ross, grandma hoyt, me, molly, and nic. oh, we were so excited to get on our way.
we first went to these outside shops that were a ways down the strip kind of off by mandalay bay. let me tell you this mall is worth coming to vegas for!! it had this courtyard in the middle of mall that had a big old park for kids to play in and a water area too! and then the shops they had...oh, all the wonderful shops. we first ate some japanese food, per molly, she had to get her sushi on!! ps, we could have totally gotten nicole to drink some sake by convincing her it was japanese lemonade, she had no idea what sake was...don't worry we didn't. then we went to h&m, that store was so much fun and also where i spent most of my money. it was a wonderful place to spend some time (the picture was taken just outside of h&m). then we made our way over to ceasar's palace to walk around the mall there. we decided to stop in the casino and each play a dollar in one of the slot machines. the three of us sit down, put in our money, 2 seconds later molly yells "my money is all gone". nicole then says "i am up $1.40" which makes molly start yelling " CASH OUT CASH OUT CASH OUT". nic keeps playing and ends up with .40 cents. meanwhile i keep hitting buttons until it won't let me anymore and i have to cash out .08 cents. molly is now obsessed with turning in our reciepts to get our money. i throw away my reciept to which molly cries out"WHY, WHY WOULD YOU THROW AWAY 8 CENTS". i just look at her like she is nuts. we then walk into the mall and decide we are in too much pain from running to walk around and decide to leave vegas. as we are leaving we find a machine for nic to put in her reciept for 40 cents. it was hilarious, we are standing in line watching people cash out nothing less than $100 and here we are waiting for 40 cents. when we got back to st george we stopped and got food at in n out burger (heavenly) and molly ate cold left over veggie pizza (i made a joke about this that made nicole crack up, molly was in the bathroom and i yelled to her MOLLY HURRY UP YOUR PIZZA IS GETTING COLD, then i turned to nic and said I AM SO FUNNY and she is dying of laughter saying YOU REALLY ARE FUNNY).

what can i say, we all think we are a hoot to be with and completely enjoy eachothers company. i loved being with them all day long that day. and of course we ended the night sitting in the hot tub crying about our sore muscles.

st george, part I

so it seems that i do not put my mother in my blog enough...mom this one is dedicated to YOU! i left for st george on thursday night with my sister nicole with me. my children hugged and kissed me goodbye and tessa was more than happy to be left with her dad. nic and i hit a few snowstorms on the way down (happy happy joy), but we made it safely there. the next day we went running and then made my grandma watch marley and me. my uncle ross then took me, grandma, nic, aunt dixine, and himself out to lunch at red robin. my mom was waiting back at home for her old friend from las vegas to arrive (debbie). when we got back nic and i decided that we wanted to go see 17 again (i have discovered that my 6 year old and i have a crush on the same boy). we called molly to find out when she would be arriving, we ended up going to the 7 showing and having a good time being sisters. here are some shots from Friday.
my MOTHER, GRANDMA, and NICOLE

then i forced MY FACE in the picture

this is molly calling mom and saying that she needed to order us some dinner cause we were hungry after the movie...and they were supposed to wait for us!!
this is us waiting for our dinner...veggie pizza (molly is a vegatarian now)

grandma was left at home to be teased by her grand daughters. she was watching some stupid show on tv so i made her watch notting hill, love you grandma.
i have some super funny stories for tomorrow...THREE MORMON GIRLS AND VEGAS!!

until monday

Goodbye everyone of my blog readers. i am leaving all of

this behind me andand these three darling whoodlums

and this newly cleaned, clipped, and vaccinated Roxy behind
to go to St George to be with my mom and sisters and some other girls. honestly i have no idea who is going to be there, i only know that no boys or kids are allowed. it feels weird not taking my family with me, i ACTUALLY LIKE going on vacation with my kids and husband. oh well, it is only until sunday night and i think my husband will do just fine figuring out how i keep my sanity with these kids all day.

on one last note, if you haven't noticed, on the top side bar i have a poll for Brenton's new haircut. he is very excited to see what people vote for, so please for a 7 year olds satisfaction please put in a vote. he has already put one in for himself, and yes i am probably going to let him get that one even if it doesn't go his way. he is just very excited to see what everyone else wants him to get!!

PS he thinks he looks like Owen Wilson right now (he has been watching Marley and Me)

Marci OUT!!!!

eggstraordinary day

on saturday we took out kids to an easter egg hunt/party. my sister/mom's ward (my home ward growing up) does their own party and egg hunt so we came along for the fun. besides one year we went to one of the "BIG" easter egg hunts at wheeler farm...never ever ever again!!! if you have been to one of these you understand what i am talking about. here are some fun pictures of the activities they got to do.brenton walking the egg with a spoon making sure it doesn't fall

ky doing the same thing (yes, she is wearing the skirt that i made). later on that day she spilled bubble blowing juice all over it...great. luckily, i think it is just mostly made of soapy stuff.

then they had to walk the gym holding a balloon between them without it falling...this was funny!
i don't know if ky is laughing cause she is with a boy or just having too much fun??
the girls hanging out and watching the kids play their games ( i am most likely going to sell these skirts on my etsy shop so look out for them if you want one or let me know and i can make a specific size)

next came the egg hunt...babies first of couse. tessa just wanted to throw hers and make it beak open.
brenton and ky then got their turn
finally we ended at grandmas house...dying the easter eggs for the easter bunny to hide.
that night i took ky to see hannah montana as a mother daughter date. it is so fun to be able to spend one on one time with your kids. tomorrow i will be posting pics of the kids in their easter outfits. ky was soooo happy, i let her pick out her whole outfit by herself.
