not about my kids

it's all about ME. WONDERFUL GLORIOUS ME! actually it is late Sunday night and i have finished Tessa's birthday/Halloween bash. when i was getting her "Halloween/birthday balloons and making her cemetery cupcakes", i started wondering how much longer she is going to let me get away with this. anywhoo, busy busy weekend, and i am starting with Friday...

we were invited to a 1920's murder mystery surprise birthday party. no kids allowed, they were left at grandma and grandpa's.

come on, how cute do we look? i actually hate doing costumes halfway, i have to do the FULL EFFECT! go big or go home. and since no one believes him (we had everyone saying that it couldn't be real all night) IT IS ALL FULL ON REAL BEARD.
my sisters and mom were in love with the hairdo. i actually thought i did a pretty darn good job and may just use this look again.
so, i ask everyone, HOW DID I NOT WIN BEST COSTUME?! i had the hair, the makeup (thank you MAC), the dress. i am mad.

my mountain man

 he is a natural redbeard
and has let it grow since the spring
my sister requested that he dye it black to look like some baseball player for Halloween. i have a feeling he isn't going to make it. (molly he must truly love you alot to do this)

ps. i have not had internet connection for awhile, thus the span of nonblogging.

turn up your volume and HEAR MY PAIN!

this is why my husband is not allowed to sleep in the same bedroom with me.

i taped this in the middle of the night when we were all sleeping in the same room at the Hilton in Orlando. which was the MOST AWESOME HOTEL WE HAVE EVER STAYED AT!

confusing the anning's

so my husband i went to the movies this weekend to see When In Rome (because we NEVER EVER GO TO THE MOVIES) and he saw the poster for DEAR JOHN.while we were walking i told him that i got two free passes to that movie from buying some DVDs at Costco. here is how the convo went...
me: i got free passes to that Dear John movie

he then looks at the poster
me: i didn't even want to see it but with free passes, how do you pass that up?
him: i can't believe you are going to see that movie
me: why?
him: because Channing Tatum is in it.
me: what is wrong with Channing Tatum?
him: i thought you hated her
me: (loud laughter) Channing Tatum is the BOY IN THAT MOVIE
him: well then who am i thinking of?
me: Dakota Fanning...I HATE HER!
him: Fanning and Channing...it is very confusing

300

"why do you have that blanket on?"

"because i am cold"

"but, you are NEVER cold. do you feel ok?"

"yes, i feel fine i am just a little tired."

"i just don't understand, you never use a blanket. all you are is a walking electric blanket." then i lean over and feel his head just to make sure he doesn't have a FEVER (with the swine flu going through the family, you never know...).

"hmmm, you were right. you don't have a fever."

"see i told you i was fine, i am just COLD. i would tell you if i had a FEVER."

"no you wouldn't, because i am a FREAK when it comes to illness in the family."

"yes, you are a BIG FREAK...AND NOT IN A GOOD WAY!"

(can you figure out why i named this post 300?)

the face of me and my hypocrisy

"you didn't sound all excited about my new shoes? why? don't you like them?"

"i told you i liked them when you showed them to me earlier."

"well you didn't sound like you liked them."

"will you stop being such a girl?"

"you know you are the world's biggest hypocrite when you say that."

"i have decided that all women can call their husbands girls."

"so does that make you feel better, hypocrite?"

"no, throwing a bottle of my meds at your face would though."

how did we get from here to there

a conversation between a 32 year old woman and a 34 year old man...starting with the 34 year old man...

"so i heard that you wanted to go see Zombieland with molly instead of me"

(he of course "heard" this on facebook where i told molly that i would go see the movie with her because the husband didn't seem interested in it. seriously, when i told him i wanted to see that movie he went "eh".)

"you didn't sound interested when i asked you so, yes, i told molly i would go see it with her"

"well i want to see it, just because i didn't sound all excited about it doesn't mean i don't want to see it."

"but when i mentioned it to you, you really didn't seem excited. so, i told molly i would go with her."

"well just so you know, you don't always have the perfect reaction either. i don't really care for zombie movies but, i like woody harrelson."

"i can't believe you are calling me about this."

"i am not. i am also calling to make sure we don't need a babysitter tonight."

"you are such a girl. stop acting like a girl."

"you realize that you are being hypocritical. you always get mad at me when i say that to brenton. did you take your such and such med today?"

"that's because he is only 8 years old!! and you do realize that it takes a few weeks for the such and such med to kick in right?"

"yes, but you also say that it is demeaning to women. do you see my point?"

"yes, i am a woman who is demeaning to women. will you stop being such a girl??"

then sign your daughter up for a cheer camp at Hillcrest. find out on the night that she is going to perform...wednesday...that it is going to be raining and freezing outside...i freaking love Utah!!

still my numba one stunna

Dearest Husband,
Do you realize or remember that it is our 9 YEAR FIRST DATE ANNIVERSARY. Yes, it is true you took me out on our first date 9 years ago today. Do you remember what we did? I DO. You took me to dinner at an italian restauraunt and then we went and saw my BROTHER perform in GREASE. i remember going to the bathroom with my mom at intermission and gushing to her about how cute i thought you were...i loved your dark hair and the goatee that you had and the way your eyes crinkle when you smiled. i loved it, i loved it, i loved it. next, you took me to see the new JAMES BOND FLICK(9 years ago of course). then you dropped me off at my doorstep and i giggled and wasn't sure how to act because i liked you soooo much. thank you for asking me out again!!

Here we are in San Diego watching your team, the Braves play the Padres. Remember we left with a Padres blanket, but i wore a BRAVES shirt just for you.
This is the only shot i could find of us KISSING on my surprise 30th birthday party that you planned for me. Thank You (yes i was supa dupa prego in that picture)

and here is how far we have come. Thank You for always taking me to cali. Your children and i Love IT. Love always, B
