"wedding day"

i have decided to quote one of my favorite wedding songs for the following pictures. it is Seal's song "wedding day" sung with his wife Heidi Klum (who as you all remember i have a love/hate relationship with her). enjoy...

Today, I give it, all to you,On this day we recall the memories,Of what we're goin' through,
This day, we're gonna win it,Givin' you all above,
Many minds will recall with us tommorrow,Followin' our love,
In my heart a place,A most special place,
And it's all for you,You're my girl, you're my, angel,
The will's the same for us,Honey they can't be wrong,
Cause everybody knows it was hard to break the sorrow,Then you came along,

In my heart, a place,A most special place,And it's all for you,You're my girl, you're my angel, you're my girl
Oo ooh, aa aah, oo ooh, oo oo oo ooh, oooh and you're the one,
In my heart, a place,A most special place,And it's all for you,And it's all for you,
In my heart, a place, and it's all for you,A most special place, and it's all for you,

And it's all for you,You're my girl,You're my heaven, you're my world,

In my heart, a place, and it's all for you,A most special place, and it's all for you

And it's all for you,You're my girl,

You're my angel, you're my girl

PS thanks Lisa for letting me use some of your pics!!

an INGLOURIOUS movie

the hubby and i went to see Inglourious Basterds last night. I LOVED IT! i don't know if it had to do with the hate you feel for Hitler, revenge, the comedy, the anger, the great acting...i really enjoyed. and my husband thinks he has a weird wifey...i am not disagreeing with that (not many women would probably enjoy this movie as you will find out later in my story)!

the following were some of our favorite quotes (i have edited some of the bad words...)

My name is Lt. Aldo Raine and I need me eight soldiers. Eight Jewish-American soldiers. Now, y'all might of heard rumors about the armada happening soon. Well, we'll be leaving a little earlier. We're gonna be dropped into France, dressed as civilians. And once we're in enemy territory, as a bushwackin' guerrilla army, we're gonna be doing one thing and one thing only... killing Nazis. Members of nationalist socialist party conquered Europe through murder, torture, intimation, and terror. And that's exactly what we're gonna do to them. Now, I don't know about y'all, but I sure as hell didn't come down from the gd Smoky Mountains, cross five thousand miles of water, fight my way through half Sicily and then jump out of a f'n air-o-plane to teach the Nazis lessons in humanity. Nazi ain't got no humanity. They're the foot soldiers of a Jew-hatin', mass murderin' maniac and they need to be dee-stroyed. That's why every son of a bitch we find wearin' a Nazi uniform, they're gonna die. We will be cruel to the Germans and through our cruelty they will know who we are. They will find the evidence of our cruelty in the disemboweled, dismembered, disfigured bodies their brothers we leave behind us and the Germans will not be able to help themselves from imagining the cruelty their brothers endured at our hands, at our boot heels, and the edge of our knives. And the Germans will be sickened by us, the Germans will talk about us and the Germans will fear us. And when the Germans close their eyes at night and their subconscious tortures them for the evil they've done, it will be with thoughts of us that it tortures them with. Sound good? The Basterds: YES, SIR! Lt. Aldo Raine: That's what I like to hear. But I got a word of warning to all would-be warriors. When you join my command, you take on a debit. A debit you owe me personally. Each and every man under my command owes me one hundred Nazi scalps. And I want my scalps. And all y'all will git me one hundred Nazi scalps, taken from the heads of one hundred dead Nazis. Or you will die tryin'.

Lt. Aldo Raine: You probably heard we ain't in the prisoner-takin' business; we in the killin' Nazi business. And cousin, Business is a-boomin'.

Lt. Aldo Raine: I need to know about Germans hiding in trees. And you need to tell me right now. Sgt. Werner Rachtman: I respectfully refuse, sir. Lt. Aldo Raine: Actually, Werner, we're all tickled to hear you say that. Quite frankly, watching Donny beat Nazi's to death is the closest we ever get to going to the movies. [shouts offscren] Lt. Aldo Raine: Donny! Sgt. Donny Donowitz: [from offscreen] Yeah? Lt. Aldo Raine: Got us a German here wants to die for country. Oblige him.
Brad Pitt was a flippin hoot in the movie! the only thing that bothered me was this (although it did keep me laughing). there was a lady sitting behind us and ANYTIME ANYTHING BLOODY OR VIOLENT happened in the movie she would say, "OH THAT IS DISGUSTING!". every BLOODY TIME!! 1. it made me laugh out loud everytime 2. i wanted to say this is a Quentin Tarantino movie what were you expecting 3. do you know anything about war movies or what movie you just bought a ticket to 4. your movie is across the hall...julie and julia (i loved that movie too but for different reasons). so lady, whoever you are, don't go to war movies or Quentin Tarantino movies!!
CONSIDER YOURSELVES WARNED IT IS A BLOODY WAR MOVIE...BUT A DANG GOOD ONE!!
