the story of us

bear with me, this will be a long post but i couldn't pass up sharing this with everyone. brenton made me this book for mothers day and i ADORE IT!!

ENJOY...

i have five in my family. my family is nice to me.

my mom is pretty. she types on the computer.

my mom takes me to cool places. she takes me to Disneyland. (the picture is of me and him sleeping in our hotel)

my mom is nice to me and she cooks good food. i like her bean soup with cheese. (i honestly am not sure what he is talking about)

my dad is nice to me. he likes to pitch to me.

my dad rides bikes with me. we go to the park.
my dad works by a movie theater. he works on the computer to try to pay the bills for us. (i LOVE where he describes his dad works...by the movies!!!)

kylee's birthday was april 6th. she is 6 years old and likes to play games with presley.

kylee and i make forts in our room. we watch movies.

tessa is my baby sister. she likes to crawl around and mess up stuff. (in the picture the stuff on the floor is tessa's mess)

i help tessa get out of trouble. sometimes i help feed her. (look at brentons face hee hee)

i like computers and math at school. i really like to do me math box homework.

i got a new skateboard from allen. i like to ride it down the hill.

we like to do picnics in the summer. we love each other.

more flags

on monday we went to visit my other grandpa's grave. i give you memorial day take two...

i loved how all of the flags looked

brenton and his book...he has started to try reading chapter books now

then we went to the wentworths house for a BBQ and playing in their backyard...which is a playground...seriously, my kids love it there!!

circle of life

here are some photos from the memorial day party we had on saturday at my grandma metcalf's. or as i like to refer to it deja vu through my children.

kylee has informed me that she is going to be a hairstylist...she was lucky enough to get her (2nd cousin?) elise to let her style her hair.

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!!

this is the gravesite of my grandpa metcalf. he was/is a great and wonderful man. he lived until brenton was a month old. i am so glad he got to see one of my children while he was alive. i LOVE that his grave stone is a bench...perfect for sitting and pondering life and posing his three great grandkids on for a cute photo op. as you can tell from all of the flowers he is a very loved man. lots of memorial day pary photos to come. we had one on saturday and another for monday night. now we are off to see the movie NIGHT OF THE MUSEUM 2. enjoy your holiday, and remember those who have passed on before us and what they have done for us.

put your fancy shoes on. grab your purse. grab your doggie. (these things all happen to be your older sisters)


make sure you and your baby get your nap on!!!

goodbye winter...hello SUMMER

i finally believe that it should be warm enough to make the transitions from winter clothes...

to our fabulous summer, light, and airy clothes...

i was growing weary of having winter and summer clothes upstairs because the utah weather could not make up its mind. ugh, it is so frustrating to have two seasons of clothes taking over the floors and dressers...

tonight is the kids end of school year carnival and they couldn't be MORE EXCITED TO GO AND PLAY.
tessa got to wear for the first time this year her cute little sunsuit!!!

and i let ky wear a tank and shorts (cause she doesn't have school this week due to kindergarten testing). she hurried and told me she can't wear tanks to school and i said good cause you aren't going to school toaday and 80 degrees is hot enough for a tank...i think.
