The New Wave

This year, I decorated Stillestead porch for Halloween with pumpkin
lanterns.
They are pretty cute and light up adorably at night,
but I never imagined...

my MOTHER was the previous winner of the AWARD
getting ready to STUFF OUR FACES
watching the AWARD SHOW. i don't know why i look the way i look but, i am DEAD SERIOUS ABOUT WINNING
a preview of what's to come...just a little heads up, if you can't handle a little ADULT JOKING AROUND DON'T LOOK AT MY BLOG TOMORROW, YOU WILL BE OFFENDED. DON'T SAY I DIDN'T WARN YOU.
PS. took my kids to see a sneak preview of HOW TO TRAIN A DRAGON IN 3D (thanks Brett for hooking me up and thanks Molly for watching the Terror) and now Brenton wants his own DRAGON!

at the end of the cave, the SMALLEST ONE is the BRAVEST ONE. i guess it didn't help that the older two have a mom who thinks it funny to yell, "IT'S GONNA GET YA AND WATCH OUT!". she even wanted to go further into the little holes that i am sure had some sort of creatures living in them.
finally, Brenton decided he could do it if THE BABY COULD DO IT
our Daredevil for Tuesday is the one WAY UP AHEAD IN THE PURPLE!
i know that some of you are probably expecting a post about Alice in Wonderland (which was wonderful) but, i have to deviate from that plan. why? WHY? because i won the OSCAR TROPHY! let me explain, we have been watching the Oscars together in my family for about 13 years. and when i say my family i mean extended close friends and family. we call it our OSCAR PARTY and this year we were all assigned a movie and we had to bring a treat and a silly gift to go along with the movie. for example i had my favorite INGLOURIOUS BASTARDS so i brought challah bread and little toy army guys. anyways, along with that we do our own votes on who we think will win what and the person who gets the most correct, wins the bloody trophy. i have NEVER WON THE TROPHY. yes, the person who actually sees the most movies for some reason cannot come up with the correct guesses to win that bloody trophy. so this year i just decided to follow what EW said and I WON! I WAS ABLE TO JUMP UP AND DOWN ON MY MOM'S COUCH AND YELL "SUCK IT!" it actually felt really good. and Linzi i just wanna say the i accept the award on your behalf because you have never won too. now Lisa if you would so kindly send me the pictures of me winning the award i will show them to the Internet on my site because i am not too shy to show everyone how CRAZY INSANE I AM!
two Hikers Hiking in Snow Canyon with their Hiking backpacks. seriously, that is what they called them.
and the other two slowpokes, OK the small one liked to stop every few steps and grab some sand to take home with her.

my family looking so good
and a pic of me, cause no one else was gonna take one. notice how my tongue is all twisted. apparently hiking and taking a picture of yourself takes a ton of concentration. so much, in fact, you have to twist your tongue all around in your mouth.
luckily there was another family at the top and the wife (while holding her baby) offered to take a picture of the WHOLE FAMILY.
looking all so cool and tough
i can do it too mentality
another shot of scenery
you see all that sand across the way, that was the sand dunes that my kids played in.wishing on the moon
