this was the funniest thing i saw on the Academy Awards the other night. if you haven't seen Paranormal Activity, you probably won't be laughing as hard as i was. but still, Steve M and Alec B are the bizzomb!



and i also give you this Zach Galifianakis gem from the most recent SNL. i haven't laughed this hard at SNL in a LOOONG time. again, if you don't get the Zach humor, you may not appreciate this as much as me. but, if you are a fan, this one is a keeper!

my SUCK IT post

i know that some of you are probably expecting a post about Alice in Wonderland (which was wonderful) but, i have to deviate from that plan. why? WHY? because i won the OSCAR TROPHY! let me explain, we have been watching the Oscars together in my family for about 13 years. and when i say my family i mean extended close friends and family. we call it our OSCAR PARTY and this year we were all assigned a movie and we had to bring a treat and a silly gift to go along with the movie. for example i had my favorite INGLOURIOUS BASTARDS so i brought challah bread and little toy army guys. anyways, along with that we do our own votes on who we think will win what and the person who gets the most correct, wins the bloody trophy. i have NEVER WON THE TROPHY. yes, the person who actually sees the most movies for some reason cannot come up with the correct guesses to win that bloody trophy. so this year i just decided to follow what EW said and I WON! I WAS ABLE TO JUMP UP AND DOWN ON MY MOM'S COUCH AND YELL "SUCK IT!" it actually felt really good. and Linzi i just wanna say the i accept the award on your behalf because you have never won too. now Lisa if you would so kindly send me the pictures of me winning the award i will show them to the Internet on my site because i am not too shy to show everyone how CRAZY INSANE I AM!
PS when i walked in the door Walter looked at the trophy and said, "oh, did they finally feel sorry for you this year and take pity on you?" to which i replied, " are you kidding me? there is no pity! it is a fight to the death!"

where do they come up with their video's?

my favorite video has always been the treadmill one that OK GO did but, BUT now they have put me in awe again. all i have to say is WOW, YOU ARE COMPLETELY ENTERTAINING MY KIDS TOO!

and a pic of me, cause no one else was gonna take one. notice how my tongue is all twisted. apparently hiking and taking a picture of yourself takes a ton of concentration. so much, in fact, you have to twist your tongue all around in your mouth.

why me?

so we decide to go to St George to escape the cold weather and try to get to slightly warmer temps, and what do we get? MOTHER LOVING RAIN AND COLD! i swear when we go to Florida in April it had better be sunny, happy skies the whole week through. i have a ton of pics to post about hiking in snow canyon, which was very enjoyable for the whole family. i guess the one plus would be is, my kids got to swim EVERYDAY IF NOT TWICE A DAY! we even swam outside on Sunday morning (they had a heated pool).
anyways we got in today, and i am too tired to get into a long post of what we did, right at this moment. right now, i want to lay down in my own bed and watch whatever i want to watch and not have to listen to two kids sleeping with stuffed noses and a husband that snores like a bear. SERIOUSLY, A BEAR, I TOTALLY VIDEOED IT FOR EVERYONE ELSE TO HEAR.
PS sooooo excited for this weekend to come, can you tell?

heading South

we are off for the weekend, a little early because the kids don't have school on Friday. so, we are taking advantage of that and going to St George until Sunday. i know it is supposed to rain on Saturday but, we have an indoor and outdoor pool, and hopefully it will be warmer there than it is here. maybe on the rainy day we will go to Vegas and play around for awhile. HI MY NAME IS MARCI AND I TAKE MY KIDS TO VEGAS! i have even snuck into NUMEROUS MOVIES, snuck into NUMEROUS CLUBS AND DANCES, and have recently stolen a can of coke (no one was tending the bar and i paid ten bucks to get in, i figured they owed me). enough silliness, i really must finish the laundry and pack since i spent the night playing mario bros with my hubby. that castle on world 8 is sooo flippin hard, i don't know how Brenton did it. yes, my 8 year old is better than i because i am so strict on how long he can play.

PS Brenton and Kylee have actually really enjoyed watching the Olympics with me. It has been kind of funny trying to explain it to them. Kylee is still trying to understand that it is Countries competing, not the States. no post tomorrow...i am on VACATION!

before i forget to tell you about this...

i know this happened awhile ago but, i just remembered that i hadn't written about it. Kylee made this for her grandpa for Christmas. Do you think they would allow him to receive it?? NO! ABSOLUTELY NO JOY IN THE FPC! i guess what makes me so angry is i knew that he couldn't receive ANYTHING with STAPLES in it. so, i went and took out all the staples and replaced it with double stick tape. which now brings us to the question of, WHY WOULDN'T THEY LET A GRANDFATHER RECEIVE A CHRISTMAS GIFT MADE OF PLASTIC AND TIN FOIL?

the answer they gave me was because IT IS A HOBBYCRAFT ITEM! thank you FPC, my family and i can't wait until we no longer have to deal with you anymore. although, you have taught me other things that i am grateful for and not so grateful for.

on a side note, my kids were calling all the American skaters Apollo! and then Kylee asked what Canadians were (cause they lost to the Americans in Hockey BAM!) and Brenton said, "they are short people.". Who told my son that Canadians means SHORT PEOPLE! i didn't. don't worry, we corrected him, after laughing for awhile.

one last question...Molly, how do you feel about the Americans beating the Canadians? inquiring minds want to know.

the longest shortest month of the year

it always starts creeping up on me in February. i tend to barely make it through January but, then February comes along and i just can't take it anymore. i hate this nasty cold weather. i hate having to bundle up my kids along with myself ANYTIME i have to go ANYWHERE out the door. i hate that it gets dark at 5:30. i start craving sunlight and warmth and the smell of grass. oh that sweet smell of grass that drafts through my open window around 5:30 when Walt is outside with Brenton mowing the lawn. February and March if you could please speed up and move along out of here, i would be ever so grateful. all of this yuckiness is starting to give me an itch to chop off my hair again. hmm. it is also around this time every year that i start making threats to my husband that i am getting in the car and driving down south (out of Utah into Cali) cause i can't live here anymore. i think it is now time to put up pictures of Florida to remind me i just have to make it until April, then we are outta here (for a week at least).
